Resilience. Determination. Progress.
My journey began at 14, when I immigrated from Mexico to the U.S. Facing language barriers, limited resources, and discrimination, I quickly learned that success would come with more obstacles than opportunities. From struggling through underfunded ESL programs and low expectations in school, to being overlooked and underpaid in the workforce, each step was met with systemic challenges.
As I pursued business ownership, I encountered even more hurdles—lack of access to capital, exclusion from vital networks, and financial institutions that did not understand or support immigrant entrepreneurs. Despite a solid work ethic and strong business plans, I was often denied the tools needed to grow.
Yet, these barriers have only strengthened my drive. My story is one of perseverance in the face of social and economic disadvantage. I am committed to building a successful future not only for myself, but for others who, like me, are working to overcome systemic inequality with dignity and purpose.
